JD IT Database Administrator

Role Description:

The IT Database Administrator will assist in maintenance and development of the energy accounting and reporting processes within NaturEner. The primary purpose of this role will be to work with the Manager of Operational Analytics to implement and maintain processes to report on energy, operations, and revenue flows for the operating assets. This role will also be responsible for managing the operational dashboards of the NaturEner Operations center as well as resposiblity for the monitoring and maintaining the PI System and SQL databases.

Resposibilites include:

• Administration of OSI Soft PI System
• Administration of SQL Server Database
• Maintenance and improvement of systems and processes to enable real time monitoring of KPI’s
• Maintenance and development of NOC Operational Dashboards
• Maintenance and development of executive reporting dashboards
• Support Architecture Decisions on internal projects

Required Competencies:

• B.S. or higher in technical field
• Familiarity with SQL, ability to write basic queries
• Knowledge of reporting tools, such as SQL Server Reporting
• Services, SharePoint, or other
• Familiarity with database administration concepts
• Understanding of Data Modelling and Warehousing concepts
• Knowledge of statical concepts

Software Experience:

• Microsoft SQL Server or other relevant
• OSI Soft PI System
• Microsoft SharePoint

Desired Capabilities:

• Energy Industry Experience
• Familiarity with OSI Soft database and client tools
• Familiarity with DOS and Windows services
• Ability to program using Visual Basic, C++ or other conventional language
